Blueprint Sources

Blueprints can be distributed in multiple formats. A blueprint definition can include multiple sources, and the operator runtime can try them in order until it finds a runnable artifact.

At a high level, sources cover:

  • Container images (OCI registries like Docker Hub or GHCR)
  • Native binaries (downloaded from GitHub releases or from remote artifact endpoints)
  • Testing sources (local-only, used by harnesses/CI)

Some source kinds are reserved but not necessarily supported by all operator runtimes yet (see the per-source pages).
